You know that feeling you get when you’re doing something you love? That’s how Tim describes the feeling he experienced during his first season as a volunteer high school basketball coach. As a sales rep for Eli Lilly by day, he found his love for coaching in the evening–helping student athletes grow and develop as people. Chasing that feeling over the next two decades ultimately led Tim to launch 40 Watt Coaching in 2021.

Tim’s clientele has ranged from Fortune 500 CEO’s to non-profit leaders, start up founders to front line managers, and from high potential individual contributors to entry level new hires. Tim’s approach to coaching is grounded in trust, honesty and openness…and building around strengths to improve overall performance.

Tim started coaching for a living in 2014, with the global communication training firm Own The Room. Over the course of five years at OTR, Tim coached and trained thousands of people at some of the top organizations in the world including Nike, Amazon, L’Oréal, Delta Airlines, Tesla, Creative Artists Agency, Netflix and Google.

In 2019, Tim joined the fintech company Stripe in San Francisco to lead Manager and Leadership Enablement on their Organizational Development team.

Tim started his career in medical sales where he worked at Eli Lilly, Cephalon, and Phadia Diagnostics over a 10 year span (while pursuing his dream of coaching basketball in the evening.)
